D. T A B L E - A. K. A. D e c o n s t r u c T a b l e
A table designed for engineers and designers for whom collaboration is a regular part of work-life. Unlike current furniture that rarely adapts to the needs of its users, if at all, the d.Table can be deconstructed into four smaller tables allowing users the freedom to remain in groupspace or pull away for individual reflection. The subtables are connected via magnetic strips whose polarity can be controlled by the turquoise buttons on the bottom face of the table. The d.Table was a finalist for the Red Dot Design Award 2012: Design Concept Category. Big thanks to John Edson, president of Lunar, for his help and feedback!
